SAUGET, Ill. - Adam Eggemeyer's first professional RBI came in a timely fashion. Eggemeyer drilled a one-out single off Evansville first baseman Brandon Cohen's glove in the 10th inning Tuesday night, giving the Gateway Grizzlies their first walk-off win of the season, 6-5 over the Otters. Jareck West scored from third on the play.

The game-winner was the lone hit for Eggemeyer, who finished the game 1 for 5.

The Grizzlies (14-10) had to comeback for the win, after leading early. West put the Grizzlies on the board in the first inning with a two-run single. Bobby Burk and Brandon Peters scored on the hit. Justin Baum followed West's single with his fifth home run of the year, a three-run shot, to make it 5-0 Gateway after one inning.

Evansville (10-13) scored three times in the fourth, then twice more in the fifth against starter Tim Clubb, to tie the score at five. The Otters added a run in the sixth off reliever Sean Toler to take a 6-5 lead.

Logan Parker led off the seventh inning with an infield hit. Parker stole second and went to third on a throwing error by Evansville catcher Billy Killian. Parker scored the tying run when West grounded out to second base.

West was 1 for 4 with the three RBIs and two runs. Parker finished the night 3 for 5 with two runs.

Jake Shafer (1-0) earned the win in relief for the Grizzlies. Shafer tossed 1.1 innings of scoreless relief. He struck out three.

The Grizzlies and the Otters play the rubber match of the three-game series Wednesday afternoon at GCS Ballpark. First pitch is slated for 12:05 pm.
