Washington Wild Things News Release
Washington, Pa. - Families can spend Father's Day with the Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Financial, this year as the team hosts its first annual Father's Day Fantasy Camp on Sunday, June 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then takes on the Traverse City Beach Bums at 6:35 p.m.
The camp includes a continental breakfast in the Wild Things clubhouse, batting practice on the field, instruction from Wild Things coaches and players and a real live game between the dads with Wild Things players and coaches joining in. Campers will also receive four tickets to the evening's game.
Dads will feel like professional baseball players for the day with their own hats and personalized jerseys, plus use of their own lockers during the camp. Limited space for the fantasy camp, which costs $140, still remains. Interested campers should call Wayne Herrod at 724-250-9555 to reserve a spot.
In the evening, the Wild Things welcome the Traverse City Beach Bums to CONSOL Energy Park. Dads can join their children to play catch on the field after the game. Tickets start at $6 and can be purchased at the box office, on the team Web site and by phone at 866-456-WILD.
