Chesapeake Baysox News Release
Bowie, Md. - Dariel Alvarez gave the Baysox their first lead of the night with a two-run shot in the bottom of the seventh on the way to a 6-5 win over the Erie SeaWolves Friday night. The Baysox had trailed since the top of the fourth inning, but used a four-run seventh inning to take the lead.
Erie scored first in the top of the fourth inning against Baysox starter Tim Berry. Eugenio Suarez drew a lead off walk, stole second and third base and scored on a throwing error by catcher Michael Ohlman. Wade Gaynor then hit a one-out infield single and scored on a double to left field by Ramon Cabrera to give the SeaWolves a 2-0 lead.
The Baysox got one run back in the bottom half of the inning against Erie starter Wilsen Palacios. Christian Walker drew a one-out walked and moved to third base after a two-out ground rule double to center field from Chih-Hsien Chiang.
