LAST GAME: The Binghamton Mets surrendered three unanswered runs and mustered just two hits after the third inning in a 4-3 loss to the Akron RubberDucks on Tuesday night at Canal Park. The B-Mets were kept off the board over the final seven innings in their second straight loss. Wilfredo Tovar broke a tie game with a two-run homer in the second, his first long ball of the year. Giovanny Urshela went deep with a two-run shot off Hansel Robles to tie the game in the sixth. Francisco Lindor singled home the go-ahead run in the seventh against Jack Leathersich. Jordan Cooper posted three shutout, hitless innings of relief in his second win and Tyler Sturdevant compiled a shutout ninth for his second save.
BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Greg Peavey takes the mound for his fourth start of the season and third straight against the Portland Sea Dogs in 2014. Peavey took a no-decision in his most recent start against the Sea Dogs at NYSEG Stadium on April 24. He allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits over a season-best seven innings in a game the B-Mets won 5-4 in ten innings. Peavey struck out five and issued no walks. Drafted in the 6th round in 2010 out of Oregon State University, he went 6-5 and compiled a 4.80 ERA between two levels in 2013.
PORTLAND STARTER: RHP Mike Augliera makes his fifth start of the season and first against the B-Mets. The righty from Old Bridge, New Jersey took a no-decision in his most recent start against the Trenton Thunder on April 26. He allowed five runs (two earned) on seven hits over five innings. Augliera pitched locally at Binghamton University from 2009 to 2012. He holds the program record with 23 career wins. He was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 5th round of the 2012 draft.
REYNOLDS' STREAK SNAPPED: B-Mets infielder Matt Reynolds went 0-for-3 on Tuesday night with a walk and watched his 14-game hitting streak come to an end. The Oklahoma native hit .481 (25-for-52) during the stretch with two doubles, a triple and seven RBI. He compiled five multiple-hit games during the streak. It is the third-longest hitting streak in the Eastern League this season.
TOVAR TEEING OFF: Wilfredo Tovar continued his hot start to the season by hitting his first home run of the year in the second inning on Tuesday night. It was Tovar's 10th career home runs and first since he went deep twice against the Altoona Curve on August 7, 2013.
BREAKING A TREND: Tuesday night's loss for the B-Mets was just their third this season when scoring first. They are 10-3 in 2014 when getting on the board first.
NO OFFENSE LATE: The Binghamton Mets have not scored a run after the fourth inning since the opening game of their doubleheader against the Erie SeaWolves on April 26. They are scoreless in their last 18 frames after the fourth inning during the stretch.
WELCOME BACK: The B-Mets welcome in the Portland Sea Dogs to NYSEG Stadium for the second time in a week and a half. Portland will make three visits to the Southern Tier in 2014. Binghamton went 8-4 against the Sea Dogs at home in 2013.
VERSUS PORTLAND: The B-Mets are 1-3 against the Sea Dogs this season. They are hitting .250 as a team and have compiled a 5.45 staff ERA.

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: The B-Mets continue their four-game series against the Portland Sea Dogs with a doubleheader starting at 12:05 PM on Saturday. LHP Darin Gorski opposes LHP Henry Owens in the opener while RHP Matt Bowman takes the mound for the B-Mets in the nightcap.
