Baysox Major League Rehab Assignment

The Bowie Baysox will be joined by a member of the Baltimore Orioles on a major league rehab assignment.

RHP Chris Ray will join the Baysox on Friday, July 24, as the Baysox take on the Reading Phillies at 7:05 p.m. at Prince George's Stadium. He is scheduled to pitch in the game.

Ray has appeared in 23 games for the Orioles this season, going 0-1 with a 9.28 ERA in 21.1 innings. He has been on the disabled list since July 6 with right biceps tendonitis.

Ray made an appearance for the Baysox in 2008 as a part of a major league rehab assignment, pitching 1.0 shutout innings with two strikeouts. He also pitched for the Baysox in 2005, going 1-2 with 18 saves and a 0.96 ERA in 31 games. He was promoted directly from Bowie to Baltimore that year.
