Senators Annual Dirt Track Night is Thursday Night

Local dirt track race fans, Thursday is your night at Metro Bank Park. Local drivers as well as several national drivers are attending the game. Along with the drivers, various cars are going to be on display. Game time Thursday night is 7:00pm with the gates opening at 6:00pm.

Local drivers Lance Dewease, Cody Darrah, and Stevie Smith will be on. They'll be answering questions and providing autographs to fans of all ages on the back concourse at Metro Bank Park.

Fayetteville, PA native Dewease earned his first win in 1986 at the Hagerstown Speedway. He is a three-time Pennsylvania Speedweek Champion.

Darrah is only 20 years old and is from Red Lion. He has twelve career wins and most recently won at Williams Grove Speedway on July 10.

Smith has 199 wins, over 60 of which were with the World of Outlaws. Smith is the 8th overall in World of Outlaws All-Time A-Main Feature Wins.

RAACE (Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere) Foundation Founder Kenneth Smith will be on hand to throw out one of the ceremonial first pitches. The Senators are the first professional organization, other than a racing series, team or track, to pitch in to help win the RAACE.

Director of Development for RAACE, Brad Bickel, will be on the Senators radio broadcast for an inning on Thursday night as well, talking about the Foundation.

In addition to the drivers, Thursday night is a Two Buck Beers on the boardwalk night sponsored by Miller Lite. Fans 21 and over can purchase two dollar Miller Lite beers at various locations along the boardwalk.
