BATTLE CREEK, Mich - The Battle Creek Bombers (8-4) came back from a 4-0 deficit to take down the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (4-9) and recapture first place in the South division of the Northwoods League.

Bombers' starter Cam Wysocki ran into trouble in the second inning after allowing a run in the first. Wysocki allowed three base hits and three runs in the inning before being taken out for reliever Ryan Lavoie. Lavoie was stellar in just over four innings, retiring the first 12 batters he faced.

Battle Creek began their comeback with a Jackson Glines home run to leadoff the fifth inning. Newcomer Joe Serrano recorded two singles in his final two at-bats in his first game with the Bombers. The second single was a go-ahead two-RBI single in the eighth to cap a three run inning.

Todd Eaton (W, 1-0) retired the first six batters he faced in two scoreless innings in his first game in Battle Creek. Gabe Berman (S, 2) relieved Eaton in the ninth for a quick two out save.

Battle Creek will go for another short sweep of Wisconsin Rapids tomorrow when they send Heartland Community College righty David Stagg to the mound. First pitch is at 7:05 on a baseball card giveaway night.
