Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Crosscutters were held to a season-low two hits in their 4-1 loss to the Auburn Doubledays.
Keudy Bocio and Rafael Marchan recorded the only two hits for Williamsport, doing so on back-to-back singles in the 4th inning. Bocio scored the only run on a Alec Bohm doubleplay, which gave the Cutters the lead.
Manuel Silva took the loss, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings of work.
Randy Alcantara was solid again in relief for Williamsport, retiring all seven batters he faced on 16 pitches in 2.1 innings of perfect relief.
Williamsport had their last 12 batters retired, with their last base runner coming on a lead off walk drawn by Jesus Henriquez in the bottom of the 6th inning.
