Reno Aces News Release
RENO, Nev. - Five baseball legends will visit Aces Ballpark Saturday, June 5, during the Aces 7:05 p.m. game against Portland, and will be signing autographs for charity on the concourse throughout the game.
Rollie Fingers, Vida Blue, Bert Campaneris, Lee Smith and George Foster will be at Saturday's Aces game to sign autographs to benefit various charities. Proceeds from George Foster autographs will benefit the Foster Foundation, while proceeds from the other four greats will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters. Autographs are $20 per person, and include a ball and a ball cube.
Fingers, Blue and Campaneris were all members of the Oakland Athletics teams of the 1970s, while Smith, best known for his time with the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals, was the all-time saves leader until Trevor Hoffman broke the record in 2006. Foster, a former MVP, was a member of the Cincinnati Reds "Big Red Machine" teams of the 1970s.
Saturday's Aces game against Portland begins at 7:05 p.m., and kicks off CPR/AED Awareness Weekend at Aces Ballpark, with demonstrations to be held from 6-8 p.m. on Baseball Mountain in right field of Aces Ballpark.
Single-game tickets for all games start at just $7, while ticket plans for the 2010 season start at just $154.
