Barons Sign Defenseman Aaron Power; Tremblay reassigned to Cleveland from Kalamazoo

CLEVELAND - Cleveland Barons General Manager Wayne Thomas announced today that the club has signed defenseman Aaron Power to a 25-game pro-tryout contract and reassigned defenseman Jonathan Tremblay to the Cleveland Barons from the Kalamzoo Wings (UHL)

Power has appeared in 22 games this season with the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL, earning 12 points (1-11-12) and 22 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 190-pound native of Cambridge, Ontario is in his third season with the Stingrays. In his rookie season, Power paced Stingrays rookie defenseman with 23 points (7-16-23).

Tremblay attended training camp with the Barons, but has yet to skate in a game for the team. He was reassigned to Kalamazoo on November 21st and went scoreless with 20 penalty minutes in eight games with the Wings. The 6-foot-3, 245-pound Tremblay played in 46 games for Johnstown (ECHL) last season, earning five points (2-3-5) and 136 penalty minutes. He also appeared in one game for the Barons, going scoreless.

The Barons will return to National City Rink located at The Q on Sunday, December 11th against the Houston Aeros at 5:05pm.
