
Banner-Raising Ceremony Highlights Wolves Season Opener

The Chicago Wolves will celebrate their 2002 Calder Cup Championship with a tailgate party and banner-raising ceremony before the season-opening game at the Allstate Arena against the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks on Sat., Oct. 12, at 7 p.m.
The party, from 2 to 6 p.m., features interactive games, the band ''Planet Strange'' and a visit with the Wolves mascot, Skates, and the Wolf Pack. The first 5,000 fans to show a game ticket receive a complimentary hot dog, ice cream and soda. Free parking is available from 2 to 4 p.m.
The first 5,000 fans through the door for the game receive on-ice championship team photos, and the first 10,000 fans receive magnetic schedules.
