Everyone in attendance on Opening Night (Saturday, Oct. 12) will receive a 2002-03 Phantoms magnetic schedule, courtesy of Toyota. Prior to the game, don't miss the Phantoms Block Party outside the First Union Spectrum, complete with team inflatables, booths, clowns and WMGK FM. Be sure to also check out the entertainers and sign-making tables on the concourse.

UPCOMING PROMOTIONS

Friday, Oct. 18 will be Fire Safety Night. All children 14 and under will receive a Fire Safety Packet compliments of Toyota. Each packet contains an audio cassette tape, videotape and coloring book. The American Red Cross' Fire Prevention Unit will be set up in the concourse and an Emergency Response Vehicle will be parked outside the First Union Spectrum. In addition, the American Red Cross will provide giveaways throughout the game and their mascot Fred Cross will be in attendance.

CN8 TELEVISING 11 PHANTOMS GAMES THIS SEASON

The Phantoms are proud to announce that CN8, The Comcast Network, will be televising 11 games during the 2002-03 season. CN8, a regional news, sports and entertainment network, reaches four million cable homes in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. CN8's 11-game package begins on Friday, Oct. 18 at 7:00 p.m., when the Phantoms host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at the First Union Spectrum. The CN8 broadcast team will once again feature Tim Saunders, Orest Kindrachuk and Mick Moninghoff.

CASEY WINS M.C. TRYOUTS

Kevin Casey was recently named the winner of the Phantoms in-stands master of ceremony contest. Nearly 30 people tried out for the position on Sept. 10 and the three finalists each worked a period during Philadelphia's exhibition game on Sept. 21. Casey, who has filled in for public address announcer Keith Jones before, also has game experience with the Philadelphia KiXX and Charge, as well as the Camden Riversharks.

LITTLE ON SPOTLIGHT

Goaltender Neil Little will be the guest on Comcast SportsNet's SpotLIGHT show on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 4:30 p.m. The half-hour interview will also air on Friday, Oct. 11 at 12:30 p.m.

"RUMBLE WITH THE PHANTOMS" RETURNS OCT. 9

The Phantoms and WNJC (1360 AM) are proud to announce the return of the "Rumble with the Phantoms" show every Wednesday from 4:30-5:00 p.m. Hosted by Tom Shaw, the show will feature a player interview, news on the team and ticket giveaways. Head coach John Stevens will be the first guest.

LAW & BRUNEL AT NEW DECK TAVERN

Forwards Kirby Law and Craig Brunel will serve as masters of ceremony during Phantoms Quizzo Night at the New Deck Tavern this Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 9:00 p.m. Phantoms tickets and t-shirts are up for grabs to the winning teams who can correctly answer the trivia questions. New Deck Tavern is located at 3408 Sansom Street in Philadelphia.

ONLINE AUCTIONS START FRIDAY

Beginning Friday, Oct. 11, log on to www.phantomshockey.com to participate in the Phantoms biweekly online auctions. Up for grabs in the first auction are two game-worn road jerseys from last season and a ticket package to the Oct. 25 game that includes four tickets, a tour of the First Union Spectrum and an opportunity to watch warm-ups from the Phantoms bench. The first auction ends Oct. 17.

MEET THE TEAM PARTY SET FOR OCT. 21

Mark Monday, Oct. 21 on your calendars, as the entire Phantoms team and coaching staff will be at Dave & Buster's to meet the public. A special meet & greet in the Showroom with season ticket holders will take place from 6:30-7:00 p.m. before it opens up for everyone from 7:00-8:00. Dave & Buster's is located at 325 N. Columbus Blvd. in Philadelphia.

PHANTOMS PLAYERS AT SKATE ZONE ANNIVERSARY PARTIES

Phantoms players will be signing autographs and meeting the public at each of the Flyers Skate Zone anniversary parties this fall. Wade Skolney, Ian Forbes and Matt Zultek appeared at the first event on Sept. 28 at the Polonia Bank Flyers Skate Zone in Northeast Philadelphia. The Sovereign Bank Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, N.J. will hold its party on Sunday, Oct. 20, while the Sovereign Bank Flyers Skate Zone in Pennsauken, N.J. party is set for Sunday, Nov. 3. The anniversary parties also include games, prizes, face painting, public skating and much more.

LIVE BAND IN BULLIES EVERY FRIDAY

Stick around after every Friday home game to hear the Delaware Valley's best and brightest bands perform live inside Bullies Sports Bar & Restaurant. As an added bonus, the Bob Lowery Band will be playing this Saturday, Oct. 12.

College and high school students with valid student IDs can attend all Phantoms games on Wednesdays and Fridays this season for just $8.
