Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Wednesday assigned right wing Darryl Bootland to the Toledo Storm of the East Coast Hockey League and released defenseman Bill McCauley. Twenty two players remain on the Griffins' roster, including 13 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders.
Grand Rapids will open its second AHL season this Saturday, Oct. 12, when the Cleveland Barons visit Van Andel Arena at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are still available at both locations of The Zone (Van Andel Arena store and Rivertown Crossings Mall kiosk), all Tickets PLUS locations (800-585-3737) including Meijer stores, and on-line at griffinshockey.com.
