The Somerset Patriots took down the New Hampshire Fisher Cats by a score of 4-3 in a 14 inning, three-hour, 51-minute marathon capped by a walk-off balk.
Thursday marked the third walk-off this season for Somerset.
Coinciding with a Portland loss on Thursday, Somerset can clinch a playoff berth and first half championship with either a Somerset win or Portland loss over the next three games.
Five Patriots pitchers combined to go 14 IP, allowing 1 ER on 5 H with 18 K.
Somerset has now homered in each of their last 21 games and in each game in the month of June. The Patriots lead the Eastern League with 95 HR this season.
RHP Richard Fitts (6 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 7 K) hurled his sixth straight quality start, and seventh quality start of the year, tied for the Eastern League lead.
Over Fitts' last six starts spanning 38 IP, the Yankees No. 8 prospect has posted a 1.89 ERA and 0.92 WHIP with 44 K. Fitts has struck out 6+ in each of his last five starts and has struck out 7+ in seven outings.

SS Trey Sweeney (1-for-4, HR, 2 RBI, BB) walloped a game-tying two-run homer in the 11th inning, his 9th HR of the season. With the homer, Sweeney has now gone deep in four of his last five games and five times in his last eight games.
