Harrisburg Senators News Release
On a misty, rainy night in Richmond, the Harrisburg Senators beat the Richmond Flying Squirrels 11-3 at the Diamond. Both teams scored twice in the first inning before the Senators scored the next nine runs in the game. Harrisburg plated a run in the second inning then exploded for seven runs in the fourth and cruised home from there.
The Big Play
The Senators scored seven runs in the fourth inning and a bases loaded two-run single by Donovan Casey started the scoring.
On Capitol Hill
Jackson Rutledge earned his sixth win going six innings and allowing two runs on two hits. He faced 24 batters, striking out six and walking four... Malvin Pena went one inning and allowed a run on two hits... Tyler Beck finished the outing pitching two innings and striking out three.
With the Gavel
Three Senators had three hits, Jacob Young, Frankie Tostado, and Trey Lipscomb... Young scored twice and had a double... Tostado drove in three, doubled and scored once... Lipscomb drove in two, doubled and scored once... James Wood walked four times and scored three times.
