Toronto Marlies News Release
The Toronto Marlies will start a busy three-in-three weekend with the first of two straight games against the Senators Friday night in Belleville.
It's been a busy season series between the Marlies and Senators already, with the two sides facing nine times and Toronto winning seven of those contests. The Marlies have won the previous two meetings, most recently winning 3-1 in Belleville last Friday.
In addition to going 4-1-0-0 at the Yardmen Arena this season, the Marlies hold a league-best 26-5-0-1 record on the road this year.
The Marlies are entering Friday's game after defeating Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in overtime on Tuesday, while Belleville beat Utica 4-3 in their last outing.
Chris Mueller leads the Marlies in scoring against Belleville this year, earning eight points (2G, 6A) in nine games. Defenceman Justin Holl is second in team scoring against the Senators, scoring two goals and four assists in seven games.
For Belleville, Ben Sexton and Tyler Randell each have four points this season against Toronto, leading the Senators.
