Noah Rod Assigned to Barracuda

SAN JOSE - The San Jose Barracuda (@SJBarracuda), proud American Hockey League (@TheAHL) affiliate of the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks), and General Manager Joe Will announced today that Forward Noah Rod (@Noah2718) has been assigned to the Barracuda after being loaned to the Geneve-Servette HC (@officialGSHC) of the Swiss National League (@SwissIceHockey).

Rod, 21, just completed his third season with Geneve where he skated in 25 games, totaling nine points (seven goals, two assist), 38 penalty minutes, and a minus-one rating.

A season ago, the six-foot, 195-pound forward from La Chaux-deFonds, Switzerland, collected one assist in three games with the Barracuda following the conclusion of his season with Geneve. In addition, Rod appeared in five Calder Cup playoff games with the Barracuda, registering no points.

The Sharks selected Rod in the second round (#53) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
