Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announce the 2nd Annual McDonald's Golden Ice Game, presented by McDonald's and WIN 98.5 FM will be this Saturday, January 30th at 7:30 p.m. at Wings Stadium versus the Cincinnati Cyclones.
While the K-Wings already wear McDonald's themed warm-up jerseys during the entire season, the team will also don a special McDonald's themed jersey for the night. Following the game, the jerseys will be auctioned off with a portion of the proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House of West Michigan.
The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc. (RMHC=C2©) is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. RMHC fulfills its mission by creating innovative, effective programs that address targeted needs, and by supporting these programs and other activities conducted by its local chapters worldwide. RMHC also awards grants to other nonprofit children's organizations that positively impact the health and well being of children around the world.
As fans enter the game, all kids 12 and under will receive a FREE coupon for a McDonald's Happy Meal, which will be redeemable at any of the McDonald's in Southwest Michigan. The first 5,000 fans into Wings Stadium will also receive a commemorative Golden Ice rally towel courtesy of McDonald's.
Being a premium night, tickets for Golden Ice Game will range from $15.90-$7.90. Tickets purchased on game night will increase by $1.
Single game tickets for the entire K-Wings 2008-09 home schedule are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Tickets range from $9.90-$14.90. Prices for K-Wings games will increase $1 for premium game nights (All Colored Ice games & New Years Eve). Fans are also encouraged to purchase their game tickets in advance, as they will save $1 per ticket by getting their seats prior to a game day.
Ticket Office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information, call the Wings Stadium Ticket Office during regular business hours at (269) 345-5101.
