
Roberts Returned On Loan From Lake Erie

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that All-Star defenseman Sam Roberts has been returned on loan from the American Hockey League's Lake Erie Monsters. Roberts appeared in two games with the Monsters, finishing scoreless with two penalty minutes. It was his first call-up to the AHL.
The 25-year-old All-Star defenseman is currently tied with teammate and fellow All-Star Drew Paris for the league lead in rookie defenseman points with 24 through 38 games. Roberts skated four collegiate seasons at Nova Scotia's St. Francis Xavier University, where he registered 70 points in 109 games, before signing on with the Gladiators this season.
The Gladiators continue their 7th season in the ECHL on Wednesday, January 27th @ Reading at 7:05 p.m. The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and Columbus Blue Jackets and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
