LAST GAME: The B-Mets opened up their first visit to New Britain with a 3-2 win over the Rock Cats Monday night at New Britain Stadium. Binghamton scored all four three runs in a four batter span to opening the fourth inning. Seth Lugo allowed one run, on a first inning homer, in his seven innings of work to earn his third consecutive victory. Jon Velasquez pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning to earn his 14th save in 15 tries.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Gabriel Ynoa is making his 17th start of the season and second against New Britain. He is coming off a win in Portland, allowing a run in seven innings eight days ago. Ynoa has gone seven or more

innings in four straight starts for the first time in his career. The righty has worked to a 1.58 ERA over his last six starts. Ynoa is 0-2 in two career starts against New Britain. He allowed three runs in eight innings against the Rock Cats on July 8th.

NEW BRITAIN STARTER: RHP Matt Flemer is making his 18th start, 19th appearance overall, and second against Binghamton. He is coming off three straight losses, after winning his previous three outings. One of the losses came at NYSEG Stadium, when Flemer allowed two runs in seven innings against the B-Mets. He has a 1.31 ERA in his last six starts (since June 18th). He has a 4.28 ERA at home, compared to a 2.01 ERA on the road.

LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN: The B-Mets are off to a 12-6 start in July, leading the league in team ERA (1.91) and team batting average (.277) for the month. Binghamton is two wins shy from matching their most in a month this season. Binghamton has had a sub-3 ERA once in their last 51 months.

STRONG LIKE A BULL(PEN): The B-Met bullpen has allowed one earned run in the last 13 games and 33 innings. The bullpen has made 13 scoreless appearances over the last 17 games. B-Met relievers have a 0.74 ERA (3 ER, 36.2 IP) since July 2nd.

LIKE FATHER LIKE SON: LJ Mazzilli, have reached base in 19 consecutive games, driving in all eight runs during that span. It's the longest active streak in the EL.

CLOSING TIME: Jon Velasquez has earned six saves in the last 16 days and has been successful in each of his last 11 save opportunities. Velasquez has allowed one run in 16 ninth innings, while striking out 16. He has a 7.20 ERA in all other innings of work (5 IP, 4 ER, 1 K).

ONE RUN: B-Mets have a league-leading 20 one-run wins.

THREE IS A MAGIC NUMBER: Binghamton has allowed more than three runs in just one of their last 12 games. The B-Mets are 38-13 when holding their opponent to less than four runs in a game this season.

CONFORTO CRUSHING: Michael Conforto is 11-for-24 (.458) with two home runs and six extra base hits over his last six games. He has reached base in 8 consecutive games, getting on base 13 total times during that span. Conforto was named the EL Player of the Week Monday.

FAMILIAR FACES: Two B-Mets make their returns to New Britain Stadium this week. Joe Benson hit .256 in his three years as a Rock Cat (2010-12), while Brock Peterson hit .274 (2007-08).

FIRST IMPRESSION: Joe Benson has reached base in each of his first seven games with the B-Mets, notching a basehit in six of them. Benson already has three multiple-hit games in a B-Met uniform. Monday was his first day off with Binghamton.

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: The B-Mets wrap up their series with New Britain Wednesday afternoon at noon. RHP Michael Fulmer starts against RHP Ryan Carpenter.
