Tonight, the SeaWolves continue a four-game series as they take on the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) in doubleheader action at People's Natural Gas Field. Last night, the SeaWolves took the series opener from Altoona 8-1. Erie has now won four of its past five games in Altoona... Tonight, righty Austin Kubitza makes his 18th start and sixth against the Curve in game one. He is 0-3 with a pair of no-decisions in his previous five starts against Altoona. Kubitza has not worked more than 4.1 innings in his last three starts. Kubitza took his third straight loss in his last start against Akron on July 16. In the game, he allowed two runs on four hits with three walks and four strikeouts in four innings of work. Erie lost the game 5-2...Right-hander Warwick Saupold takes the mound for the SeaWolves in game two making his 19th appearance, 14th start and fourth start against the Curve. Saupold is 0-2 with a no-decision against Altoona. Saupold last appeared in relief on July 16 vs. Akron. In the game he allowed a run on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts in three innings of work. Erie lost the game 5-2... RHP Tyler Glasnow takes the mound for the Curve in game one making his 11th start and third against Erie. Glasnow is 1-0 with a no-decision against Erie. He earned his second straight win in his last start against Richmond on July 16. In the game, he tossed seven shutout innings, allowing three hits with no walks and a season-high nine strikeouts... RHP Matt Benedict goes for the Curve in game two making his 14th appearance, ninth start and fourth start against Erie. Benedict is 3-0 against Erie. He took a loss in his last start against Richmond on July 17.
