Awful Promotions Highlight July 7 at PNG Field

CURVE, PA - A fan-favorite promotion makes its long-awaited return as Awful Night takes place on Wednesday July 7, presented by Powerhouse Subs. A staple promotional night that took place from 2002-2007, Awful Night provided terrible details ranging from a Spork giveaway to Garish costumes, and a "Laaser Light Show" featuring former Curve broadcaster Jon Laaser with flashlights.
On Wednesday July 7, the tradition renews with a new generation of Curve front office hijinks, which promises to be as puny as ever. The first 400 fans through the gates will receive a 2020 Team Photo upon entry to PNG Field, presented by Powerhouse Subs. Awful Night promises to have detestable on-field games, unenjoyable music and even Al Tuna will not escape the wrath of Awful Night.
The front office is being tight-lipped about most of the details but are aware of the popularity of the promotion with fans.
"Awful Night is a cornerstone of Curve promotional history and we're very excited to bring it back to the fans," said Mike Kessling, Director of Promotions, Marketing, and Special Events. "I would go into more details but suffice to say that fans are going to be highly entertained with how awful the night will be."
The Curve return home July 6 taking on the Akron RubberDucks, Double-A Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians for a six-game homestand running through Sunday, July 11.
