In late, rain-shortened, 7 -inning game, the Reading Fightin Phils rocked the Erie Seawolves 2-1 on Friday night. Victor Santos shined in the pitcher's duel and Jorge Bonifacio broke the game open with his 11th home run of the season.

Erie started off the scoring in the second when Andre Lipcius led off with a double and scored on an RBI single from Brady Policelli.

Reading answered back in the top of the fourth. Luke Miller walked and then back-to-back doubles from Arquimedes Gamboa and Daniel Brito plated a run. The score was tied at one a piece.

Jorge Bonifacio broke the tie as he crushed a home run in the top of the sixth inning. The ball disappeared on the top of the hockey arena next door.

Brito had another multi-hit game adding his 13th double of the season and a base hit.

Santos had a stellar starting throwing his longest outing of the season. He completed five and two thirds innings of work allowing just three hits and one earned run. At one point, Santos retired 12 straight Erie batters and struck out a high of six batters. Braden Zarbnisky got the team out of the sixth before slamming the door shut in the seventh.
