
Austin Spurs Take Down Los Angeles D-Fenders

(CEDAR PARK, TEXAS) - The Austin Spurs pushed past the Los Angeles D-Fenders 107-99 Friday night on the SWBC Court inside the Cedar Park Center. San Antonio Spurs assignee Kyle Anderson led Austin's charge with 26 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Vander Blue paved the way for Los Angeles with 25 points and four rebounds.
Erik Murphy (18 points, five rebounds), Jonathan Simmons (18 points, two assists), and Jarell Eddie (15 points, two rebounds) provided the spark for the Spurs victory.
In a game that saw 18 lead changes and seven ties, rebounding proved to be a difference maker. The Spurs out-rebounded Los Angeles 53-37, with Austin's Mouhamed Sene and Keith Wright combining for 25.
D-Fender Jamaal Franklin recorded a near triple-double with 13 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Also contributing for Los Angeles were Roscoe Smith (13 points, four rebounds) and Andre Ingram (13 points, three rebounds).
The Austin Spurs (32-18) await their opponent and schedule for the 2014-2015 playoffs.
