?AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Spurs (5-5), presented by SWBC, fell to the Agua Caliente Clippers (5-5), 125-122, at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park Friday evening.
?Nick Johnson led the Spurs in scoring with 32 points (14-22 FG, 2-3 3FG) in 32 minutes. John Holland contributed 21 points (4-11 FG, 3-6 3FG, 10-10 FT) and five rebounds in his debut with the Spurs. Lonnie Walker IV made his season debut with 14 points, 2 boards and 2 assists in 19 minutes.
The Spurs controlled the first half, pushing their lead to as much as 15 points with the help of 58.7 percent shooting from the field and 66.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc. The Spurs offense was boosted by 41 first half bench points, giving the Silver and Black a 66-52 lead heading into the half.
The Clippers got back in the game, outscoring Austin 37-22 in the third. The fourth quarter fostered eight lead changes, but 85.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc by the Clippers enabled Agua Caliente to hold on to their lead for a final score of 125-122.
?Anthony Bennett led the Clippers with 26 points (12-13 FG, 8-9 3FG, 4-4 FT). Angel Delgado poured in 27 points (12-18 FG, 3-4 FT) and grabbed nine rebounds.
