Austin FC News Release
Austin, TEXAS - Austin FC announced on Wednesday that the Austin FC Academy's U17 side will face instate rivals FC Dallas in an MLS Next Academy match open to the public on Saturday, February 5 at Parmer Field within St. David's Performance Center, with kickoff set for 3 p.m. CDT. All fans attending the match must RSVP through Austin FC to receive a ticket to the match. All seating at the match is free and general admission.
"We can't wait to welcome the Austin FC community out to Parmer Field to support our Academy," said Austin FC Sporting Director Claudio Reyna. "Playing in front of our supporters will be a tremendous opportunity for our U17 team. Not only will it be fun and exciting, but it will also give our players a small taste of what it's like to compete in a highly competitive atmosphere."
In addition to the match festivities, The Pitch, a "food, fun, and fútbol" destination center next to Parmer Field at St. David's Performance Center, will open for the first time 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Part of the Parmer Pond District, The Pitch is a result of a partnership between Karlin Real Estate/Parmer Austin, Corner Kick Hospitality Group, Team Orbis, Mark Odom Studio, STG Design, Armbrust & Brown, and Citadel Development Services in collaboration with Austin FC.

"When Austin FC launched in 2019, Karlin Real Estate began to picture how soccer might create a new way to gather in Austin- especially in the corporate campus environment," said Karlin Real Estate Vice President Mike McGlashan. "We created 'The Pitch,' as a true destination, not only for tenant companies of Parmer Austin and The Pond District, but for soccer fans and the community, alike."
The Pitch features four restaurants: Ranger Burger, Ga Roti (Vietnamese rotisserie chicken counter), Taco Flats, and Sand Bar (a beach bar and grill with a sand volleyball court). The new community hub also includes a coffee and bakeshop called Coffee Club, and Corner Kick, a craft beer and cocktail bar.
For the match on February 5, before The Pitch opens to the public later in the month, it will host a special sneak preview for match attendees with a limited menu of food and beverage options at special prices.
Free parking will be available at Parmer Austin, 13000 Harris Ridge Blvd.
