Tonight's Game: It's the first meeting of the year between the Aberdeen Ironbirds (Baltimore Orioles Affiliate) and Auburn Doubledays. The last time the Ironbirds visited Falcon Park in 2013 the Doubledays won both games with the third being canceled.

Last Game: The Doubledays fell to the Lowell Spinners 6-5 on Sunday and finished a six-game road trip at Vermont and Lowell at 4-2. Auburn led 4-0 after four innings, but the Spinners scored in every inning from the fifth until the eighth.

Dominating the Pickney Division: Aberdeen this season is an incredible 10-2 against the Pickney Division in 2015. The Ironbirds are 1-2 against the Crosscutters, 3-0 against the Spikes, 3-0 against the Scrappers, and 3-0 against the Muckdogs. Aberdeen hasn't faced West Virginia this season. Last year, the Ironbirds went 8-9.

Bullpen Domination: So far this season, the Doubledays bullpen has been a major key to success. Overall, the 'pen has a 2.55 ERA (53 ER in 187 IP) compared to the starters. The Doubledays starting rotation has a 5.60 ERA (84 ER in 135.1 IP).

So Long, Farewell: Over the past week, several key members of the Doubledays have been promoted to Single-A Hagerstown. Andrew Stevenson (OF), Luis Torres (RHP), and Andrew Lee (RHP) have all be promoted to the Suns from the Doubledays. Stevenson was the highest pick in the 2015 Draft by the Nationals at 58th overall and finished his career in Auburn on a 13-game hit streak. Luis Torres went 3-0 with a 2.37 ERA in seven appearances out of the bullpen. The righty pitched in 19 innings for the Doubledays and started the season on a 11.2 IP scoreless streak. Andrew Lee was drafted by the Nationals in the 11th round of the 2015 Draft and was dominant in Auburn. Lee was 1-0 with an ERA of 0.00 in five appearances (8.1 IP total) for Auburn with 12 strikeouts and just one walk.

Welcome to the NYPL: Victor Robles has dominated Penn-League pitching since joining the Doubledays. Since joining Auburn, Robles has played in eight games with the slash line of .382/.421/.706. The 18-year-old also has 2 HR, 7 RBI, 1 2B, and 2 3B. Robles led off the final game of the Vermont series on July 23rd with a solo homer to left and then did the same thing the next night in Lowell on July 24th.

Another week, Another Award: Victor Robles was named New York-Penn League Player of the Week yesterday for the period from July 20th until July 26th. In those seven games, Robles's line: 7 G, .346 average, 2 HR, and 5 RBIs. It was the third week in a row a Doubleday was honored. Jefry Rodriguez was named Pitcher of the Week July 6th to July 12th and Rhett Wiseman was named Player of the Week July 13th to July 19th.

Rarely Trailing: When the Doubledays fell behind to the Spinners 6-5 in the eighth on Sunday, it ended a streak of 34 straight innings the Doubledays either led their opponent or were tied. The last time Auburn was behind was when they lost to the Vermont on July 22nd 6-2. On the 23rd, the Doubledays beat the Lake Monsters 6-2 and took the lead in the first on a solo homer by Victor Robles to go up 1-0.
