Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack have acquired forward Adam McMaster from the North Bay Battalion in exchange for forward Mitchell Russell.

McMaster is in the midst of a career year with the Battalion, scoring 13 times and adding 15 assists for 28 points in 34 games so far this season. In his first two seasons with the Battalion, the 18-year-old native of Beamsville, Ontario tallied 14 goals and 34 assists for 48 points.

"I am very excited to be able to add a veteran player like Adam to our lineup" said Attack General Manager Dale DeGray. "His experience and pace of play is going to make him a great complement to our existing players."

There will be at least one familiar face for McMaster in the Attack locker room when he gets to Owen Sound. In 2016-17, he and Attack forward Aidan Dudas played together at the U17 World Hockey Challenge, winning a silver medal as part of Team Canada Black at the event.

Heading to North Bay is Mitchell Russell who was selected in the 1st round of the 2017 OHL Priority Selection and recorded 8 goals and 10 assists over one and half seasons with the Attack.

McMaster won't wait long to see his first action in the red, black and white as the Attack embark on a three games in four days schedule starting Friday, December 28 in Sarnia, Saturday, December 29 at home to Kitchener and Monday, December 31 in Barrie.
