
Atlanta Sends For Larsen, Reassigns Garnett

The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled left wing BRAD LARSEN and reassigned goaltender MICHAEL GARNETT to the Chicago Wolves. In addition, the Wolves have released netminder SCOTT REID.
GARNETT posted a 0-2-0 mark with a 6.34 goals-against average and a .817 save percentage in three games with Atlanta, his first National Hockey League action. The 22-year-old goalie turned aside 29 of 30 shots in his NHL debut on Oct. 12 against the Montreal Canadiens after replacing starter Mike Dunham in the seventh minute of play.
Last season, the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native recorded an 11-9-0 mark with a 2.86 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage with the Wolves. He finished fifth in the American Hockey League with a .889 shootout save percentage (eight saves on nine shots).
LARSEN collected one goal and six penalty minutes in five games with Chicago after being assigned by the Thrashers on Oct. 11.
REID, who was signed on Oct. 26, did not see any action with the Wolves.
