Trenton Thunder News Release

The Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, have sold out five straight games at ARM & HAMMER Park with Saturday night's sellout crowd of 7,765 fans. Over the five-game streak 35,219 fans have entered through the gates to see affordable family fun.

On Saturday night, the Thunder hosted the 20th largest crowd in franchise history, surpassing the 7,742 mark on August 7, 2014, at ARM & HAMMER Park.

The sellout streak began on Tuesday August 4 when Phillies 2B Chase Utley joined the Reading Fightin Phils on a rehab for the first two games of their series with the Thunder.

The official seating capacity at ARM & HAMMER Park is 6,150 and the Thunder have sold out 12 games this season. During the streak, an average of 7,043 fans have entered the park.

The five-game sellout streak is the longest stretch of sellouts in franchise history since 2011 when the team sold out six straight games from June 25-July 5. During that stretch, the team hosted rehabs for Yankees SS Derek Jeter and Phillies RHP Brad Lidge and OF Shane Victorino.

To date, the Thunder's average attendance of 5,135 ranks fourth in the Eastern League. Over the 55 games at ARM & HAMMER Park this season, the ballpark has been filled 83.5% to capacity. Currently only six Major League Baseball teams have filled their ballpark at a higher percentage.

Fans that want to be part of the sellout streak will have their next opportunity on Sunday, August 16 when the Thunder host a rehab for Yankees RHP Michael Pineda at ARM & HAMMER Park against the Reading Fightin Phils. TICKETS

Sunday is the ninth annual Bark at the Park, presented by Dogs & Cats Rule, where fans can attend the game with their well-behaved dog. Tickets can be purchased by phone at 609-394-3300 or online at www.trentonthunder.com/tickets.
