'DOGS AND 'DUCKS FOR ANOTHER : The Sea Dogs and Akron RubberDucks (Indians affiliate) face-off tonight for game two of their three-game series at Hadlock Field. The RubberDucks took game one on Friday night 12-2 to clinch a season-series victory over the Sea Dogs for the second straight year. The win for Akron was their fourth straight at Hadlock Field - the last time the Sea Dogs beat the RubberDucks at Hadlock was on June 16, 2013.
EFFICIENT OFFENSE : Akron scored 12 runs last night despite posting just eight hits - plating 12 of 17 total baserunners in the game (70.6%). Three Portland errors led to six unearned runs for the RubberDucks. The six unearned runs were the most allowed by the Sea Dogs in a game this year and the most since 7/10/14 at Binghamton (13-3 loss, seven unearned runs allowed).
