The Cedar Rapids Kernels announced today that RHP Anthony Sullivan has been placed on the DL with discomfort in his right shoulder and that RHP Aaron Cook will join the Kernels in South Bend, IN from extended spring training in Tempe, AZ.

Sullivan has pitched in three games for the Kernels and has no record with a 1.80 ERA in 5 IP. He's allowed two hits, one run and struck out five and last pitched two perfect innings at South Bend on April 18th.

Aaron Cook was drafted by the Angels in the 35th round of the 2006 free agent draft out of the University of Tampa. The Rockledge, Florida native spent 2006 at Orem in the Pioneer League where he posted a 3-2 record and 4.50 ERA in 23 games for the Owlz. In 30 IP, he gave up 36 hits and 17 runs (15 earned) with 23 strikeouts and 15 walks.

Cook is expected to be in uniform and available for Friday's game vs. South Bend.

The move leaves the Kernels active roster at 25 players, with two on the DL, the maximum active players allowed by the MWL.
