Another Masterful Pitching Performance as Rox Fall

St. Cloud, Minn. - The St. Cloud Rox fell to the Alexandria Blue Anchors 2-1 Saturday night in front of a crowd of 1,781 at the Rock Pile.

The Rox got another wonderful pitching performance from one of their starters as Andrew Clemen (South Dakota State) went 6.1 innings, struck out seven batters, only gave up three hits and allowed one run. Clemen's strong game followed a masterful game by Domenick Carlini (Southeastern Louisiana University) Friday night.

Erik Martinez (Cal Berkeley) came in for Clemen and went one inning, striking out two batters. Trevor Charpie (Saddleback Community College) would then come in for 1.2 innings, striking out one batter.

Webb Bobo (Southeastern Louisiana University) would walk in the second inning then made his way around the bases to score the lone Rox run on a Blue Anchor error.

The Rox play next at Mankato in a doubleheader on Monday, June 29th. The first game will begin at 1:00 p.m. then the second game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

The next Rox home game at the Rock Pile will be Wednesday, July 1st at 7:05 p.m. as they take on the Waterloo Bucks. It will be a Rox Seat Cushion Giveaway presented by Medica. First 300 fans 60 and older. Bring your grandchild to the game night. Polka Night presented by 1150AM KASM.
