June 27, 2015 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Kalamazoo Growlers News Release
KALAMAZOO, MI - The outdoors truly got the best of Homer Stryker Field on Outdoorsman's Night as the Kalamazoo Growlers have been forced to cancel games against the Lakeshore Chinooks set for today, June 27 and tomorrow, June 28 due to unplayable field conditions caused by the flooding of the Kalamazoo River.
Both games have been rescheduled for next weekend, when the Growlers will once again meet the Chinooks. Today's scheduled game will be played on Friday, July 3 as a double-header beginning at 5:05pm, with the regularly scheduled game beginning 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. Sunday's game will be made up on Saturday, July 4 beginning at 5:05pm with the Growlers annual Red, White and Boom Night beginning 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. Each game will be played as seven inning games.
Fans with tickets to any of the two canceled games can exchange them at the Homer Stryker Field box office for any other remaining Growlers regular season home game. For the rescheduling of special group accommodations please contact the Growlers office at (269) 492-9966.
