
Angels Assign Walker to Salt Lake

SALT LAKE CITY (May 27, 2008) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has signed outfielder Chris Walker to a minor league contract and assigned him to triple-A Salt Lake.
Walker, 27, joins the Bees from the Camden Riversharks of the independent Atlantic League. He appeared in 28 games for Camden, batting .290 with two doubles, four triples, five home runs and 20 RBI. The Greenwood, Miss. native was originally selected by the Chicago Cubs in the sixth round of the 2002 draft.
