Angel Delivers Divine Double-A Debut For Mudcats Chattanooga, TN --- Angel Molina socked four hits in his Double-A debut as the Carolina Mudcats defeated the Chattanooga Lookouts 6-4 on Tuesday night at Bell South Park.

Molina, just recalled to the Mudcats before the game, doubled twice, singled and hit a tie-breaking, opposite field homer in the sixth inning to lead the first place Mudcats. Playing right field for Jeremy Hermida, who sat out his second straight game with a sore hamstring, Molina drilled three hits against or over the wall, including his ninth inning single, which was hit so hard he couldn't advance to second base. Molina joined the Mudcats from High-A Jupiter, where he was fourth in the league with 84 RBI.

Carolina took a 2 1/2 game lead over second place West Tenn with the victory. The Diamond Jaxx gave up two in the ninth at Mississippi to lose 3-2 on Tuesday night.

Carolina (33-23, 74-50) rallied from 3-0 down after two innings to rescue Ray Aguilar (W, 5-2) to his fifth win. Aguilar allowed a three-run double to Brian Peterson in the second inning, then was one of the keys of the tie-breaking inning with an RBI-single in the sixth against former Marlins farmhand Travis Chick (L, 2-11).

Reggie Abercrombie mashed a solo homer to dead centerfield in the fourth inning to draw the Mudcats to within 3-2. Robert Andino hit a sacrifice fly in the second inning, while JC Muniz doubled in the tying run in the fifth. Muniz stretched his hitting streak to nine, while Jason Hill's ended at nine going 0-5.

Aguilar worked five innings en route to the victory, leaving for a pinch-runner in the sixth. Clint Sodowsky permitted an unearned run in the sixth, then turned the ball over to Jerrod Fuell, who threw two scoreless innings. Chris Resop (S, 24) struck out three hitters in the ninth to record his 24th save, and his 10th against the Lookouts this season.
