Andrey Pedan Reassigned to Stockton

UNIONDALE, N.Y. (Feb. 6, 2014) - The New York Islanders have announced that defenseman Andrey Pedan has been reassigned to the Stockton Thunder (ECHL).

Pedan, 20, has played in nine games for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in 2013-14 and has five points (two goals, three assists). He suffered an upper-body injury earlier this season and has not played since Nov. 11.

Pedan was drafted by the Islanders in the third round (63rd overall) in 2011. He played three seasons of junior hockey with the Guelph Storm in the OHL before making his professional debut with the Sound Tigers late in 2012-13. In eight games last season, the Moscow, Russia, native had a pair of assists.
