Philadelphia Union News Release
CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union announced today that two players have received international call-ups from their respective federations ahead of the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup. Andre Blake (Jamaica) and Warren Creavalle (Guyana) are set to join their respective nations' camps ahead of the tournament.
Blake heads to Washington, D.C. for a friendly against the United States (June 5) before going to Jamaica for the Reggae Boyz' pre-tournament preparation camp, which runs from June 6-15. Should Blake then be named to the final roster for the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup, Jamaica begins its run in the Group Stage on June 17 against Honduras in Kingston before traveling to Houston to face El Salvador (June 21) and Los Angeles to take on Curacao (June 25).
The goalkeeper has earned 36 caps for Jamaica, where he regularly features as the team's first choice in net. He most recently appeared for the Reggae Boyz in March, where he started a Concacaf Nations League contest at El Salvador (March 23), following which Jamaica officially clinched a berth in the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup.
Meanwhile, Creavalle has earned a call-up from Guyana for the Golden Jaguars' final tournament roster. Guyana begins the tournament in Saint Paul against the United States (June 18) before finishing the Group Stage with contests against Panama in Cleveland (June 22) and Trinidad and Tobago in Kansas City (June 26).
Creavalle has earned five caps for Guyana, last representing the team ahead of a Concacaf Nations League qualification contest vs. Belize (March 23). He made a substitute appearance in the contest, a 2-1 win, which clinched a Gold Cup berth for Guyana for the first time in the nation's history.
