Anaheim Assigns Robak to Norfolk

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announce today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club reassigns defenseman Colby Robak to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Robak, 24, became a Duck earlier this season via a trade that sent former Admiral Jesse Blacker to the Florida Panthers. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound blueliner appeared in five games for Anaheim and seven for Florida so far this season. In 47 career NHL games, Robak has four assists and 25 penalty minutes. The Dauphin, Minnesota local played four seasons with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League (WHL) as a major junior competitor before the Panthers selected him in the second round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Robak has 268 career games in the AHL with Rochester and San Antonio.
Norfolk clashes with Binghamton tonight in New York to begin this weekend's three-in-three. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. The Admirals return to Scope for the next two weekends including Valentine's Day.
