Amerks Sign Goaltender Tim Boron to PTO

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has signed goaltender Tim Boron to a professional tryout contract (PTO).

Boron, 31, has appeared in 38 ECHL games this season with the Wichita Thunder, posting a record of 20-11-2-3 with a 3.02 goals-against average and two shutouts. In 73 career ECHL games with Las Vegas, Stockton and Wichita, the 6-foot-0, 177-pound native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, has posted a 32-29-3-5 record with a 3.16 goals-against average, a .909 save percentage and two shutouts. Boron has also appeared in 199 career CHL games with Colorado, Wichita, Mississippi and Rapid City, boasting a 109-61-10 record along with a 2.69 goals-against average, a .914 save percentage and seven shutouts.
