Americans Shoot Down Mallards

Moline, Illinois - The Quad City Mallards jumped out to an early lead, only to see Allen battle back scoring four unanswered goals, in a 4-2 victory on Wednesday in the Quad Cities.
The Mallards jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first scoring two times on the power play with goals from Pearce Eviston (10), and Logan Nelson (10). Quad had a 14-11 advantage in shots on goal after the first.
The Americans battled back in the second scoring two goals of their own, first Tyler Barr hammering one home in front of the Mallards net, and then Chad Costello on the power play his 27th, to tie the score at 2-2. The Americans held a slight advantage in shots on goal after two periods 24-23.
The Americans added two more goals in the third period, first Chad Costello on a breakaway for his second of the game and 28th of the season, and then Kyle Follmer, unassisted for his 8th of the year, late in the third period as Allen would hold on for the 4-2 victory.
