
Americans Make Late Comeback, Earn Shootout Victory

Tri-City Americans News Release
The Americans kicked off their Central Division road trip today in Calgary. After falling behind in the third period Tri-City was able to comeback and earn a shootout victory over the Hitmen.
Kyle Olson scored Tri-City's first goal of the night at 7:35 second period to tie the game at one. The goal came off a two-on-one breakaway with a pass from Colorado Avalanche prospect Sasha Mutala.
Tonight was Olson's 200th WHL game.
Nick Bowman gave the Americans their first lead of the night after cleaning up a rebound off a shot from Bryan McAndrews. The goal marks Bowman's fourth of the season.
The Hitmen came back and scored two goals within 2:31 to take a 3-2 lead.
After pulling Beck Warm for an extra attacker Connor Bouchard scored once more for the Americans with 22 seconds remaining to the game to overtime.
The Americans were outshot 49-38 by the Hitmen.
Final Score: 4-3 TC (SO)
The game extended into a shootout where the Americans completed a comeback victory. Connor Bouchard was the only player to score in the three round shootout.
- The Americans next home game is Saturday, November 16th against the Spokane Chiefs.
