Tri-City and Seattle meet tonight for the 12th time in their 14 game season series.
The Amerians are 0-9-2-0 against the Thunderbirds so far this season.
Jared Davidson leads series scoring with seven goals and seven assists. For the Americans, Parker Bell has the most points against Seattle with two goals and four assists. Four of Marc Lajoie's ten goals this season have came against the Thunderbirds.
Tomas Suchanek earned his first WHL shutout last night as the Americans blanked the Chiefs 4-0 at the Toyota Center. The Czech netminder turned aside 38 shots to hold Spokane scoreless, the most in a first career shutout by an Americans goaltender since Beck Warm's 43 at Seattle on November 10, 2017.
Sam Huo scored once in the second and third period to give Tri-City a 2-0 lead. Sasha Mutala followed with the Americans' third goal midway through the final frame. He went on to add a short-handed empty net goal to secure the 4-0 victory.
Tri-City is four points behind the Prince George Cougars in the final Western Conference playoff spot. They will look to carry momentum from last night's victory into today.
