Allen Americans News Release

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans continued their holiday tradition of hospital visits during the Christmas season, as the Americans Ice Angels made a recent stop at Texas Scottish Rites Hospital in Dallas. Ice Angels, Gabriela and Kelsey, joined Ice Angels Director Stephanie Di Biase-Wheat to deliver teddy bears to some sick kids.

The bears were collected during the Allen Americans Teddy Bear Toss game in November. Over a thousand bears were donated through the generosity of the Allen Americans fans, continuing a six-year tradition in Allen. The team will make several more hospital visits before Christmas in a continued effort to make sure all the bears are delivered and into the hands of young hockey fans recovering in the hospital.

"Visiting Texas Scottish Rites this time of year is one of my favorite things to do. It makes you feel good inside," said Di Biase-Wheat. "The girls do such a great job and knowing you made a child smile makes it worth it. We had the opportunity to deliver over 200 bears last week and we are planning another visit to Children's this weekend."

The Angels also made a stop at Strokers Dallas, to drop off some bears. Strokers is heavily involved in charities in DFW and one of the most famous custom Motorcycle Shops in the country.

The Americans continue their homestand this weekend with back to back games against Wichita and Tulsa this Friday and Saturday night at Allen Event Center. Tickets for both games are available online at www.ticketmaster.com.
