
Americans Fall 6-3 to Thunderbirds

The Americans traveled to Kent to play the Seattle Thunderbirds today for their third game in three days.
After having two goals waived off within the first three minutes of the match, the Americans were able to get on the board first with a goal from Sasha Mutala at 4:07, assisted by Riley Sawchuk and Sam Stewart.
Seattle responded with a power play goal at 13:20 from Matthew Wedman to tie the game. Tri-City led shots on goal 12-11 after twenty minutes.
The Thunderbirds scored three second period goals taking a 4-2 lead into the final frame. They added two more seven seconds apart in the third.
Parker AuCoin netted a power play goal at 7:30, but the Americans were unable to make a comeback.
Rookie goaltender Talyn Boyko stopped 31 of 37 shots faced.
Score: 6-3 SEA
Shots: 37-26 SEA
The Americans will return to the Toyota Center on Wednesday to play the Victoria Royals.
