Everett Silvertips News Release
EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips have clinched their third consecutive and 7th overall U.S. Division title, and are scheduled to open games 1-2 of the opening round of the WHL Playoffs in downtown Everett's A.O.T.W. Arena on Friday, Mar. 22 and Saturday, Mar. 23, 2018. Playoff packs (six games) are on sale now and can be secured by visiting www.everettsilvertips.com/tickets.
Six game playoff packs are on sale for as low as $120 per pack ($20 average per game) and guarantee the same seat for the first six Silvertips playoff games, front-of-the-line access to playoff tickets before the general public, and priority access for new full season and package seats for the 2019-20 Silvertips regular season.
After defeating the Seattle Thunderbirds, 1-0 in overtime on Saturday before a sellout crowd in downtown Everett, the Silvertips clinched the division banner by virtue of a tiebreaker over the Portland Winterhawks, who were defeated 4-3 by the Kelowna Rockets on Sunday.
As defending Western Conference champions, the Silvertips are currently tied with the Vancouver Giants for the most points in the Western Conference with a record of 44-14-2-2 (92 points). Both clubs have six games remaining in the regular season.
The Silvertips will announce the remainder of their first round playoff schedule and opponent soon.
The Silvertips return to play on Tuesday night at Spokane, starting at 7:05 p.m. (KRKO / WHL Live / Amazon Alexa). The Silvertips return home for Fan Appreciation Night on Mar. 16 vs. Victoria at 7:05 p.m., with tickets on sale now at www.everettsilvertips.com/tickets.
