EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips incurred their first regulation loss of the season Sunday night, dropping a 3-1 game to the undefeated Spokane Chiefs.

Spokane's Owen Martin cashed in the game's first goal at 6:53 in the first period, tucking a rebound past Jayden Kraus for his first of the campaign. The Chiefs' powerplay generated two goals in the second period, as Brody Gillespie and Gavin Burcar both found the back of the net for a 3-0 lead.

A lower-body injury forced Kraus out of the game after 34:39 of play. Bennett Byers stopped all 11 shots faced over 24:11 of relief.

Brek Liske contributed the Tips' only goal, a powerplay wrist shot at 11:54.

The Silvertips are now 2-1-2 on the season, sitting tied for third in the Western Conference.
