June 26, 2023 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Tri-City Americans News Release
Kennewick, Wash. - Tri-City Americans general manager Bob Tory, along with the Western Hockey League (WHL), have announced the Americans 2023 preseason schedule. The Americans will play four exhibition games against three different U.S. Division opponents, including two games against the WHL's newest team, the Wenatchee Wild.
Tri-City kicks off their preseason in Everett on Friday, September 8 as they match up against the Silvertips at Angel of the Winds Arena. It will be the franchise's fifteenth year participating in Everett's preseason tournament.
The following night the Americans will head to Wenatchee to take on the Wild at the Town Toyota Center in their first game as a WHL franchise.
Tri-City's 2023 preseason tournament will take place September 15 and 16 at the Toyota Arena. In addition to the Americans, this year's tournament will feature the three other U.S. Division teams; Spokane Chiefs, Portland Winterhawks, and Wenatchee Wild. The tournament includes two games on each Friday and Saturday. The Americans will play the evening game on both nights.
All training camp and preseason events will take place at the Toyota Arena, located next to the Toyota Center.
Tickets for Tri-City's preseason tournament will go on sale online on August 8. A one-day ticket will cost $15 and is valid for all games that day. There will be a limit of 400 tickets per day. Tickets are not included in Season Ticket packages due to the limited number of seats.
