Tri-City ValleyCats News Release
Rotterdam, NY; June 30, 2011- Time Warner Cable today announced that Siobhan Magnus, a finalist on the ninth (2010) season of American Idol, will appear at the 2nd Annual Time Warner Cable Customer Appreciation Celebration with the Tri-City ValleyCats on July 9, 2011.
Time Warner Cable customers at the game will be able to meet and greet Magnus, plus enjoy her performance of the National Anthem to open up the evening's game. A native of Barnstable, Massachusetts, on Old Cape Cod, locals there knew Magnus as the local apprentice glassblower and lead singer of her local rock group, Lunar Valve. As 2011 takes shape, she is working on her first solo album, expected to be released in the fall.
Time Warner Cable customers can bring a copy of their bill to the Tri-City ValleyCats box office at Joe Bruno Stadium and receive up to four tickets for the special July 9th Customer Appreciation game (plus vouchers for one hot dog and one soda per person). Last year's Customer Appreciation event broke ValleyCats' records with 7,005 in attendance. John Quigley, Time Warner Cable's Area Vice President of Operations said, "Having an American Idol Finalist of Siobhan Magnus' caliber as part of our Customer Appreciation Celebration is exciting and a great way to start a night that is all about saying "thank you" to our subscribers."
In addition to 2010 American Idol contestant Siobhan Magnus' appearance, Time Warner Cable promises a fun filled night including prize drawings every inning, the YNN Storm Chaser / Weather Wall Experience, ValleyCats team poster giveaways and autograph opportunities. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the game starts at 7 p.m.
