SPRINGFIELD, MA - The American Hockey League and Sportsnet, entering the second year of a five-year relationship, announced today that Sportsnet will continue coverage of the AHL's 77th season with four more live, national Saturday night broadcasts in November.
Among the four games are two Hamilton Bulldogs games, the first on November 3rd at Copps Coliseum against the Rochester Americans (AHL Affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres). The game will air live on Sportsnet ONE. Hockey Central host Daren Millard will be joined by analysts Brad May and John Shannon to preview the game as well as provide intermission analysis. Play-by-play announcer Kevin Quinn and analyst Louie DeBrusk hit the broadcast booth to call the action, while Gene Principe hosts from rinkside.
The second game is on November 17th against the Toronto Marlies (AHL Affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs) at Ricoh Coliseum. The Hockey Central team of Daren Millard, Brad May and John Shannon will provide pre-game and intermission analysis while Joe Bowen and Greg Millen return to the broadcast booth to provide play-by-play and analysis, respectively, and Paul Hendrick hosts from rinkside . The 'Dogs next game is tonight, Friday, October 26th against the Toronto Marlies at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum. Tonight's contest will be broadcast live on TVA Sports and on Hamilton's Cable 14 with coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. Hamilton will then face the Abbotsford Heat on Sunday, October 28th at 5:00 p.m. All Bulldogs games during the month of October will be broadcast on Hamilton's Funny 820 (AM 820) and on Montreal's TSN Radio 690 (AM 690). Fans can also listen to and watch all 'Dogs games on www.hamiltonbulldogs.com . Live coverage with the broadcast team of Play-By-Play Announcer Derek Wills (all home and away games) and Colour Commentator Al Craig (all home and select away games) will begin with the Pioneer Pre-Game Show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
